null Summer 2020 offers courses for pianists, brass players, vocal ensembles and art management professionals

In Summer of 2020, the Sibelius Academy, Uniarts Helsinki will offer four international Sibelius Summer Academy courses taught by top experts in their fields from around the world. In 2020 there will be a education and concert event for brass players, an international summer school on arts management and entrepreneurship, and a piano course focused on Ludwig van Beethoven and his contemporaries. In addition, the vocal ensemble Theater of Voices, which already visited in 2019, is returning to conduct a course for vocal ensembles.

The summer  courses offered in 2020 are as follows:

Brass at Sibelius Summer Academy 1.-6.6.2020

Piano at Sibelius Summer Academy 8.-13.6.2020

Arts Management at Sibelius Summer Academy 11.-14.8.2020

Vocal Ensemble at Sibelius Summer Academy 17.-22.8. 2020

The first ever Sibelius Summer Academy took place in 2019. It is the International Summer School of the Sibelius Academy, Uniarts Helsinki, visited by renowned artists and teachers from all around the world working besides the Sibelius Academy’s own faculty.

The Sibelius Summer Academy courses provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the internationally acclaimed music education of the Sibelius Academy, Uniarts Helsinki. The courses are open to both Sibelius Academy students and external applicants.

The Sibelius Summer Academy courses are partly organized as part of the new International Visitor Programme established in 2019.
