Feel Mozart as the Woodwind week highlight!

Tapiola Sinfonietta and the woodwind students of the Sibelius Academy join forces under the baton of Michael Collins in the final concert of the Sibelius Summer Academy’s Woodwinds event. Feel Mozart! concert will explode the grand conert hall of the Helsinki Music Centre on June 8th 2019!

Jazz pianist Iiro Rantala, famous for bashing the boundaries between genres, will give us a fresh take on one of Mozart’s most beloved piano concertos. Clarinet virtuoso and Sibelius Academy faculty member Christoffer Sundqvist will perform the jazzy concerto by Aaron Copland.

A grand finish to the concert is provided by a performance of what is probably the most essential piece for woodwinds ever written, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s wonderful Gran Partita.
